Have you ever thought about the biggest
time wasters on the job? Would they found on the following list?
o Noisy surroundings
o Lack of scheduled
breaks
o Meetings
o Undependable
technology
o Crowded workspace
o Excessive emails
o Micromanaging
managers
o Personal
interruptions
o Constant instant
messages
o Web surfing
After identifying which are the biggest
time wasters on the job, the most important question is - What can you do about
addressing them? Some are probably a condition of the place in which you work,
while others might be the perpetuation of a habit.
Now that I’ve peaked your interest, I’d
like to suggest there is another element of the workplace that may be an even
greater time waster, although one that is often positioned as a workplace
benefit:
